HBO IN PACT WITH AMEDIA TO BRING ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING TO RUSSIA

New York, N.Y., May 20, 20013 — HBO has signed a content output deal with Amedia, a leading Russian producer of television films, series and other programs, to bring HBO«s world-renowned original programming to audiences in Russia. Founded in 2002 by producer Alexandеr Akopov, Amedia will offer HBO series, films and documentaries, together with other premium TV content from additional U.S. and international studios.

Under the five-year agreement, Amedia gains exclusive pay television rights in Russia to select HBO original programs, including award-winning and critically-acclaimed series such as The NewsroomSM, GirlsSM, Game of ThronesSM, True Blood SM, Boardwalk EmpireSM and many others. The agreement includes past and current seasons of the hit series and also gives Amedia access to HBO«s future productions over the lifetime of the agreement.

The new relationship will complement the premium line-up of shows seen on Amedia«s pay TV channels, Amedia Premium HD and Amedia 1, as well as on the original Amedia VOD platform. Amedia«s unique service will allow subscribers to enjoy most of their favorite HBO shows soon after U.S. premiere across Amedia«s linear TV channels and the VOD platform, available via multiple devices including laptops, tablets and smartphones. Amedia Premium HD will deliver the premium programming 24-hours a day in high definition.
